Child Victims of Crime

How We Do It

The support we are able to offer vulnerable and traumatised children is limited only by the amount of funding we have available.

We remain deeply indebted to all police forces and volunteers from around the country who continue to support our work through fundraising activities  and donations of their time, expertise and money.  We also continue to fundraise directly through golf days and gala events, and through income generated through running printer cartridge recycling programmes in schools and companies.

Unfortunately, the need remains enormous.  We have never yet turned anyone away, but often find ourselves hugeley restricted in the support that we are able to give.

We try to tailor our support as individually as possible to the needs of each child, but essentially there are four key areas which the charity is able to offer.

DISNEYWORLD, FLORIDA HOLIDAY

Funds permitting - In effect our "gold star" award.  Each year we try to arrange a one week long trip to Disney World in Florida, with places made available to individual children and family members.  Accompanied by charity Trustees, this is an award that really does help "turn nightmares into dreams come true".

FUNDING FOR COUNSELLING

We are able to provide funding for private counselling sessions.

ADVENTURE/ACTIVITY BREAKS

Funds permitting we arrange activity centre breaks for children who have endured traumatic experiences, encouraging friendships and peer support to develop.  As well as having the opportunity to "just have fun", the break encourages the re-discovery of a level of self-confidence and self esteem.

OTHER AWARDS

We also provide awards such as High Street store vouchers, bikes, days out at theme parks or sporting events.

THE ONLY THING WE DO NOT PROVIDE IS CASH
